Tom y Caro’s Big Plans

In my opinion, Steve Earle is the  best folk and country singer of the last 20 years. His lyrics make all other songs irrelevant.

Two songs in particular scream Carolina.

The first is about the death penalty. Steve has sang a bunch of songs about abolishing the death penalty over the years including “Billy Austin” and “Ellis Unit One” (which was in Dead Man Walking) (which you still need to see!!!).

But my favorite is Over Yonder (Jonathon’s Song). It could just as easily be Carlos’s song.
