Oklahoma: the Birthplace of Woody Guthrie.

You might be surprised to learn that Oklahoma has places like this:
The Red Cup - OKC

But Oklahoma gave us him:

Woody Guthrie

Woody Guthrie

I wish Woody were alive today.  Can you imagine what a man that wrote this song in 1942 would be singing today?  Woody wrote of the McAlester Pen, migrant workers, leaving the dust bowl, and the Oklahoma hills where he was born (where the black oil it rolls and flows and snow-white cotton grows). But tonight, I can’t help but hear him sing:

I’m gonna clean up this world
The best I can if I can
I’m gonna leave this world behind
The best I can if I can
I’m gonna get through this world
The best I can.
